Tegan and Sara have a new record called Con, The coming out on July 24th. Tracks include "i was married," "relief next to me," "soil, soil" and "like O, like h."

They start a tour on July 14th. They hit the Hiro Ballroom in New York City on August 1st. Tickets on sale May 11th.

Carnivores rejoice! This weekend (June 9 & 10) is the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party 2007. From noon to 6pm, you can sample the most amazing bbq from all around the country. And sorry New Yorkers, but this is like the SXSW of food festivals and the Texans rule.

Music will be provided by James "Blood" Ulmer, Ryan Shaw, and a bunch of other bluegrass and rockabilly acts.

Each plate of barbecue will be $8 or you can get a “Bubba Speed Passes” for access to the special express lines, which can be purchased at the event.
