The 2009 Bamboozle Festival will once again take over the Meadowlands parking lot in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on May 2nd and 3rd.

This year, the festival will be headlined by Fall Out Boy and No Doubt, in their first announced live date in five years. Also on the emo-friendly bill are The Used, Vision of Disorder, Gwar, Bloodhound Gang, Rise Against, Third Eye Blind, Taking Back Sunday, The Get Up Kids, Locksley, New Found Glory, Enter Shikari, and a reunited Face to Face, amongst others.

On May 1st, the Bamboozle Festival will also host "Hoodwinked," where New Found Glory will perform as a Green Day cover band. Other suprise guests to be announced.

Five days and 34 shows later, I may never recover from this CMJ. While I absolutely love this festival, nothing stresses me out more than trying to listen to 1300+ bands in two weeks, running from venue to venue (this year in the rain) and hoping that the band I want to see is playing at the correct location at the scheduled time. However, each year, I can't get enough. I guess my love/hate relationship with CMJ will continue...

Favorite performances - K-Holes, Telltale, zZz, Ivana XL, Zaza, (The) Tony Castles, Quest For Fire, Crystal Antlers, The Dutchess & the Duke and Glasser.

Biggest disappointments - Surf City/The Gulf of Michigan/Let's Wrestle/Kittens Ablaze (didn't like the vocals), Dum Dum Girls (one-dimensional, Vivian Girls 2.0), Cruel Black Dove
