DOWNLOAD: The Very Best - "Rain Dance (Featuring M.I.A.)"

One of the best albums of the year is The Very Best's Warm Heart of Africa. While the band is scheduled to play multiple shows at this year's CMJ Music Marathon, they were in town last week and played two surprise shows.

On Thursday, The Very Best played a private party for Spurr TV.

On Saturday night, the one we went to see, they played a secret set at Zebulon in Williamsburg. The stripped down show was all high energy and featured almost all of the material from their debut album, plus a cover of M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes." The packed room didn't stop dancing. Awesome.
