While Vibe announced they're shutting down on Wednesday, another African-American magazine will be celebrating this weekend when Essence hosts its annual music festival, now in its 15th year. The Essence Music Festival takes place in New Orleans. Here's the schedule:

While tonight's headliner, Beyonce, is the biggest-selling artist at the festival, all the buzz is about Saturday's headlining set from Maxwell. The r&b soul singer will release his seven years in the making comeback album, BLACKsummers'night, on July 7th. The first single is "Pretty Wings" and its pretty smoothe.
