And, Ive dabbled in different types of shoes in the search for the best shoes for me. In my case, I found that alternating my regular running shoes with racing flats has reduced many of the injuries Ive experienced in the past. I am now using minimalist shoes for walking, only because I find them extremely comfortable and a relief to high heels (which I have to wear every now and then in the office) or regular office shoes. While I was growing up, I loved walking barefoot around the house, and I live in a country where people do not wear shoes inside their homes! I will probably try either running in minimalist shoes or barefoot running more than what I currently do, to see whether and how it will be good for me and my fitness routine.
