On September 19th, the film "The Battle In Seattle" will open in select theatres. This film, which I have not seen, is based on the riots and protests that shut down the 1999 World Trade Organization conference in Seattle.

While I felt that the actions of certain protesters went further than necessary, it is hard to deny that all the attention that the events in Seattle got, and wouldn't have otherwise, brought mainstream attention to exposing the W.T.O 's actions and abuses.
