I wouldn't really believe those rumors about the final tour. First off, that rumor has been floated after pretty much very tour they have done since the reunion. Last time around, the shows at Shea were to be the end, as Clarence was said to be hanging it up.
Second, the other big rumor floating around right now is that there is a new album in the can or close to finished and it will be coming out in the fall.
Third, no way the final E Street show ever is in LA.
Last, every interview with Steve and Bruce lately has indicated that they will keep going.
Of course, I personally dread the day they stop, so this could be optimism on my part, but I truly doubt this is the end.

Bruce and Steve will play live until they can't which will be many many yreas from now. The E-Sreet band as we know it is coming to an end. This is Max's last tour and without him and Danny, it's just not The E-St Band. They are going out on top though. They are on fire on this tour!

Bruce also has another album on the way.

Clarence's standing through 2-3 hour shows and hitting his cues are also over. Whatever Bruce puts together next, it will be something different for sure. Also, while people talk about Bruce and Steve, the other major player is Nils. His guitar playing is far more important to Bruce musically -- Steve is the "heart and soul" guy.

Nothing against Nils, I was a fan of his since the 70's but just about all of Bruce's best music was done by Bruce and Steve - pre-Nils. Let's face it, none of Bruce's albums since Tunnel Of Love are nearly as good as the 70's & 80's material. (Except for maybe Tom Joad)Although I love seeing The E-St band today, I actually liked the old E-St band without Nils and the girls much better. Much grittier and more high energy.
