Senator Barack Obama has won the Mississippi Democratic primary. Taking the delegates from this win and Wyoming, Obama has completely erased any gains Senator Hillary Clinton made in Ohio.
Three things that can't be helping Clinton this week:
1. Paid advisor and former Vice President nominee-and a usual class act-Geraldine Ferraro saying that "if Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position." Way to play the race card. So sad and disgusting. The Clinton camp has opted to support Ferraro and not remove her from their campaign.
2. Casey Knowles, the girl in Hillary's 3am Fear Ad, is not only an Obama supporter, but also a delegate. Ha. The video of Casey on Good Morning America is above.
3. Just days after Obama's camp fires Pulitzer Prize-winning Samantha Powers for calling Hillary a "Monster," the Clinton camp goes and compares Obama to Kenn Starr?!? Really?? You really want to go there?
Anyway, this race has gotten way to nasty and needs to end asap. I don't care if Hillary or Obama is the nominee at this point, they just need to stop these attacks on each other...........

I think McCain has already won the General Election.
All the exit polls out of Miss show that Clinton's voters are saying they wont vote for Obama in the general. Add to that the fact that Clinton has said LBJ was more important to civil rights tha MLK and now the Ferraro comments and I'm sure black voters will stay home if Clinton is the nominee. These two just completely sabotaged one anothers chances.
I say when the DNC meets in July they all defect and just nominate Gore on a second ballot.

I would love if they brought Gore on board!
Sadly, I agree that the Democratic party is sabotaging themselves...

It is sad that this primary election has devolved into nothing but race and gender baiting. The media, and I am including you in that category Jason, don't focus on the actual issues anymore, only on tangentially related "he said, she said" comments of peripheral campaign advisors like Geraldine Ferrarro and Samantha Powers.
Who CARES about all this bullshit? How is highlighting that doing anything to help STOP the division of the democratic party, not to mention the awful and dire situation our country is in right now both here and abroad. Why are you and the rest of the mainstream media obsessed by it? And why are you, Jason, perpetuating it?

Why am I covering it? The more pertinent question is why do both of these camps - especially the Clinton camp - have to behave this way?
Do you really want to elect a President who has problems with African-Americans? Or that gives lobbyist friends special deals?
The Obama camp doesn't care that Hillary is a woman. It's a nonissue to them. Calling her a monster isn't calling her a bitch.
