FLORENCE & THE MACHINE | Cover Beirut's "Postcards From Italy"

Florence%20with%20Lightspeed.jpg
A couple of days ago, we raved about Florence & The Machine. We've been listening to their demos - yes, they're unsigned - pretty non-stop. While we love their originals, we also love their numerous stripped down covers, with their take on Beirut's "Postcards From Italy" taking the cake.

To cover Beirut is not an easy thing. First, Zach has such a beautiful and distinct voices. Then you have the horns. And to strip it down to just ukulele and vocals, one would think, would make the song lose all its essence. Thanks to her amazing voice, Florence and the Machine were able to make the song sound awesome..........
