OSCARS | Coen Brothers Finally Win w/ "No Country for Old Men"

Having worked with Ethan a long time ago, I'm so stoked that the Brothers Coen have finally won their Oscars! They deserved it so many times in the past-and gotten completely shafted-butI'm glad they're finally getting recognized by the establishment!

"Ratatouille" beating "Persepolis" for best animated feature was a crime!

And Diablo Cody winning for "Juno" is a disgrace. I know a lot of people who loathe "Juno" and I'm not one of them. It's a cute, enjoyable film. Is it Best Picture worthy? In my opinion, not really. And the thing that keeps the movie from being truly worthy of such high praise is the god awful dialogue that Diablo wrote. The performances in "Juno" are superb. The music is fabulous. The story is even refreshingly original. And the whole movie is framed well.

The thing that makes this movie so painful is Diablo's "hip" writing. It really makes listening to the film painful. Ugh. Whatever. We're happy for "No Country", "There Will Be Blood" and The Swell Season's Marketa Irglova and Glen Hansard (of The Frames), who were sooooo adorable...........

Jason did you actually see Ratatouille and Persepolis? Why is it a crime that Rat won? Persepolis should have won cuz its Indy? High brow? Political? From a graphic novel? Is that why? Dude Ratatouille was sooo much better. One of the top ten films of the year in my opinion. Persepolis on the other hand was good. But not great.

It was actually a good Oscars this year. So many people that I thought deserved to win won. And Jon Stewart was super funny.

Go Coens!

I was among the many who pumped their fists in the air out of celebratory ecstasy when Diablo Cody won. That movie was driven by the script and complimented by an amazing performance by ellen page. No country was the most overrated movie I've seen in years, but I dont care any more because Diablo winning made my night.

You are the brick! Reading stuff like this written in the way like this is a great pleasure for me.

Don’t know what to say. At first it looked good but now I’m very disappointed in this kind of information
