As we reported last year, Billy Joel will be the last artist to play at New York's Shea Stadium. The show, billed as "The Last Play at Shea, From the Beatles to Billy," will take place on July 16th. Tickets go on sale February 16th.
The Major League Baseball All-Star Game takes place at Yankee Stadium on July 15th.
Joel is also headlining the secon night of the two-weekend 2008 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which takes place April 25th - 27th, May 1st - May 4th. Notice The Raconteurs are playing May 4th. Here's a partial line-up:

Allen Toussaint will join Harry Connick, Jr. for a spectacular performance in New Orleans for the 57th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 17 at the New Orleans Arena. He will take the court for the halftime show. Airing on ESPN at 7:30 pm CT/8:30 pm ET.

I’m glad that most of the people here are really clever, and are fun to talk, because we have a lot in common. Here I can express myself, share different information, have gun, enjoy communication. Some people here are angry, but why, guys? Make friends, be nice, share what you think, and you won’t feel lonely anymore!
