R.E.M., who are already set to play the Langerado Festival and SXSW, have announced their first official tour dates in support of Accelerate (April 1, 2008). The band have also announced that they'll be bring Modest Mouse and The National on the road with them! Tour of the year? A strong contender.

If you haven't heard any of the tracks from Accelerate , you may want to check the above video, as well as the ones after the jump, that were filmed during the bands five-show live rehearsal's in Dublin. They previewed all but two songs from the album...............
