Not surprisingly, the U.S. constitution once again prevails against the USA Patriot Act:
Two provisions of the USA Patriot Act are unconstitutional because they allow search warrants to be issued without a showing of probable cause, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken ruled that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, as amended by the Patriot Act, "now permits the executive branch of government to conduct surveillance and searches of American citizens without satisfying the probable cause requirements of the Fourth Amendment."
This news comes a week after another federal judge found another provision of the USA Patriot Act to be unconstitutional:
A federal judge struck down controversial portions of the USA Patriot Act in a ruling that declared them unconstitutional yesterday, ordering the FBI to stop its wide use of a warrantless tactic for obtaining e-mail and telephone data from private companies for counterterrorism investigations.
It's nice to see that democracy moves so swiftly. After all, it's only been six years since the Patriot Act was enacted..........

Wow what a beautiful story. I have read your blog for a long time and have never posted a comment...It is no wonder that you often don't open up comments with all the wack jobs out in this world.

It sounds fantastic. The question is - this post is absolutely new and original, isn’t it? It seems to me I've saw it somewhere before.
