Neil Young is one the only artist who can revisit one of his earlier records and now make it seems like a desperate attempt to relive his youth or more successful years. Seriously, does the world really need Queensryche to put out another Operation Mindcrime LP?
On October 16th, Neil will release Chrome Dreams II, his follow-up to Chrome Dreams, a legendary album from 1977 that had originally been scheduled for release but was shelved in favor of the brilliant American Stars 'N Bars.
His upcoming tour will see him traveling with Crazy Horse drummer Ralph Molina, pedal steel guitarist and dobro player Ben Keith ("Harvest," "Comes A Time," "Harvest Moon") and bassist Rick Rosas ("Freedom," "Living With War," "This Note's For You").
The tour hits the United Palace Thetre on December 12th and 13th. Tickets go on sale Monday, October 1st, at 10am. A presale is now going on. Full tour dates after the jump..........
In addition to his Chrome Dream II acoustic/electronic tour, Neil is hosting the 21st Annual Bridge School Benefit. This years show will feature Metallica, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Vedder with Flea and Jack Irons, Tom Waits with Kronos Quartet,John Mayer, Tegan and Sara, Regina Spektor, and, of course, Neil himself.
