The Mercury Lounge in New York City has redesigned their website for the first time since 1993 or something like that. Do people even check these websites? Or is it really only for the club bookers and agents? Hmmm........

I check venue sites every other day or so. Shows pop up all the time before they get announced on Ticketweb (or as we now know it, Ticketmaster). Plus Mercury has shows here and there without advance tickets.
The redesign is awful. The people (like me) who look at venue sites are compulsive and want to easily see what shows are new and when they are. The calendar was perfect. This new list thing is ugly and impossible to read.

Ugly ugly ugly. I prefer the calendar layout.
I check mainly the ad in the Village Voice and even that has a terrible layout. The old format for the Mercury and Bowery shows were easier to scan and make plans around.
Sounds like someone's friend/relative/significant-other at Bowery Presents just learned HTML and convinced them to hire a newbie. The new design is amateurish.

I saw similar post three month ago. Topicality of this post sucks. Dude, you have to keep up to date.

I hate people like that! They are all crazy! They think they are the coolest and smartest ever. But really they are dumb
