Herman Düne is finally coming back to New York and they are playing Union Hall this Thursday. For the short explanation, Herman Düne is a band of brothers, David-Ivar Herman Düne and Néman Herman Düne, who live in France but sing folk songs in English.
But the French band seems to have a perpetual identity crisis with Swedish last names, three or four myspace pages (the most current is titled The Real Herman Düne), and another "brother," André Herman Düne, who dropped out of the band in late 2006 (then changed his name to Stanley Brinks).
Anyway, if you are at all intrigued, you should check out their show Thursday because they will probably not be back for a very long time. Highly recommended.
