PJ Harvey news is always exciting to me. The NME reports that PJ's eighth album, White Chalk, is slated for release on September 24, 2007. Let's hope she previews the new record with small club shows in NYC, the way she did Stories and Uh Huh Her. Those were absolutely fantastic shows.
So much for her retiring......

To be fair, she never said she was retiring from recording or even from playing live...but rather from extended touring.
