I've been tipped that The Hold Steady and Art Brut are in the midst of scheduling a joint fall together. That is going to be one off the hook show. No word on dates yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I get them. Rumor is the tour will run from late September through November.

In related news, The Hold Steady are playing a FREE show at Prospect Park on August 9th with The Big Sleep and The Teenage Prayers. On September 13th, Craig Finn will play a FREE solo show at B&N Union Square. Then on September 17th, The Hold Steady will be joined by the Old 97’s and Illinois for a FREE show at 7 World Trade Center Park. Phew.

That's a whole lot of free shows. Will it be worth paying to see them so soon after all these shows......
