This is the exact type of show that the White Stripes will not be able to get away with when they play Madison Square Garden. A blitzkrieg of a two-hour set, filled with tons of rare gems and dirty guitar solos. Jack was letting the guitar solos fly last night. Meg has learned to keep a 4/4 beat and was hitting her kit twice as hard as she did in the past. The energy was through the roof. Also, $5 commemorative shirts and limited-edition Rob Jones posters. Not to mention they were selling actual candy cane bars. All in all, it was fucking amazing!
The White Stripes never use a setlist and this show was all over the place. It would be near-impossible to figure out and include all the little riffs that Jack through into guitar solos. He played a slew of snippets from real old White Stripes tracks and some familiar covers, but then would just jump back into whatever the base song he was playing from. However they decided what to play, it all worked. Here's the best I can recall (with some help checking Laura's setlist).....
