We were lucky enough to score the very last bracelet to see Paul McCartney at the Highline Ballroom (capacity 700) and we were blown away. The only other time we've seen him, was at Giants Stadium back on his 1993 New World Tour. Interestingly, he opened both shows with "Drive My Car."
To see someone like Paul McCartney play such an intimate gig is certainly an experience. Throughout the hour and half show, he clearly seemed to be enjoying himself as he mixed new material from the excellent Memory Almost Full ("That Was Me" and "Nod Your Head" came off especially amazing sounding), some classic singles ("I've Got A Feeling" and "Back in the U.S.S.R.") and a bunch of totally random album tracks ("Here Today" and "C Moon").
Unlike his arena or stadium shows, McCartney kept the stage banter to a minimum, commenting once that "it's nice that you can actually have a little chat with the audience at gig like this. We should do this more often." His band left the stage as he played "Blackbird" and "Hear Today," the latter dedicated to John, George and Linda.
After the emotion high of the evening, Paul tore into a batch of classic tunes, as well as a killer Carl Perkins cover of "Matchbox." I wonder what Paul's guitarist thinks about while he sings John's part of "I've Got A Feeling."
The show ended with a five song blitzkrieg of legendary Beatles songs that left the audience smiling from ear to ear. How could this audience not enjoy this show! It was Paul McCartney at a small club, totally mad for it, banging out an hour and half set. Righteous. Absolutely righteous.........

You're very lucky. I tried to wait in line for a wristband but didn't get there soon enough.
Was it a full crowd? A lot of people were complaining that they didn't give out enough wristbands to possibly fill the venue. Don't know if that's true or not.

I opened this website for myself long time ago. Today it has become even better. I like the links and info that is given here, I just dislike some people. They make a lot of mistakes when posting or commenting. They are usually rude and have a bunch of problems I think. They spoil this website. I would want them to leave this place alone and go somewhere else to have their kind of fun.
