The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are throwing down with two shows at Glasslands in Brooklyn this Monday. They're taping the shows for something in the future and the shows will be free. Here's the info as posted on their homepage (via Brooklyn Vegan and Music Slut):
FREE Yeah Yeah Yeah's LIVE PERFORMANCE! (All Ages) Yeah Yeah Yeahs Sell Their Souls in Return for Infinite Life in Permanent Night Performance---TWO TIMES!We will be gathering the flesh of the young and old this Monday Evening to rejoice in an unholy manner to songs from the runt of the litter: our brand new EP. A few notes, there is only room for roughly 250 of you for either performance so dare to be there or dare to be square. The performances are FREE but everything has it's price, so expect to be RECORDED by many purveyors of filth. It's gonna be even more difficult, according to the YYYs bulletin on myspace:
UPDATE:
Due to capacity restrictions there will be 100 wristbands available for the 7:00pm show.
There be 100 Girls-Only wristbands available for the 10:00pm show.
Wristbands can be picked up between 5:00PM and 5:30 PM only (day of show).
If you are not there between 5:00pm and 5:30pm please do not come down.
No line-ups at the club before 4:30pm.

I also was very high-up in the line and got turned away. I was very disappointed as well. Ran to the Bowery Ballroom and caught Beirut and Final Fantasy...it brought me out of the YYY let down depression. 100 wristbands were not given out.
