Yesterday, we told you about how a lot of Yeah Yeah Yeah fans were upset cause they got denied tickets ot the band's intimate Glasslands show even though they were clearly in the first 100 people in line. Glassland's booker Brooke Baxter responds:
Hey this Brooke from the GlassLands. I am very sorry people were disappointed. I want everyone to know that we gave out 80 wristbands for each show instead of the promised 100 that was purely a choice I made not the band or management. With crew, guest list for friends and family and a new huge stage built out in the middle of the room I thought that was all we could fit in the small space. I didn't want anyone to get hurt. It was not a malicious choice just one made out of concern for safety. Looking back we could of fit maybe 15 more people, I made a mistake and I’m sorry. The yeah yeah yeahs played 2 free shows for fans and that is a really cool thing to do. We try to do our best but we are not some mean venue owners just people trying run an art space. I’m really sorry for those of you who did not get in but I assure you of the number of bands we gave out it was not 40 per show. I hope you don’t hold this against us and come back in the future to paint or listen to music. All the best Brooke Baxter
Thanks Brooke. And while I'm sure it was not malicious, this still doesn't explain how people that were number thirty-five in line couldn't get into the show. (all pictures via flickr)

Woah! What's with the hater above? Stereogum sources PSNYC with this news item. Brooke posted the same message in the PSNYC comments as she did on Stereogum. Chill out yo.

All the wristbands went to wannabe celebrities and spoiled trust-fund babies of industry people, i.e., the people who get all the tickets for every hot show in New York and LA.

that apology was weak! homeboy needs a publicist or a gag order... bottom line, yyy needs to be back in bk asap, on their own accord. And if Mr. Baxter behaves, i might let him listen to an mp3 recording of the show.. If my cousins and aunts are done with it of course.
p.s. at least stereogum isn't pitchfuck who doesn't deserve to debut emily haines nor ever speak of coco again# antony shut those bitches up!
it's on now - - -
quietcolor is coming...
stay tuned.

to be quite frank, i think this whole thing sounds kindof elitist and corny... if you really want to do something kool, do a $5 general admission show at studio B.

It is one of things I can never understand ... how people can think that way. It's so illogical that it can only be based upon moronity.
