Muse have announced a headlining date at the arena at Madison Square Garden on August 6th! Cold War Kids are to support. Tickets will be $45.00 and $39.50 and go on sale Sunday, May 6th at 10AM.
This seems incredibly ambitious of Muse. I know they have a following, but for a band that really has only a couple extremely minor U.S. hits, do they have the fanbase to sell out such a prestigious venue? Will it sell out to all Brits? Something about this stinks of a Verve MSG fiasco relapse.
Muse are currently on tour opening for My Chemical Romance. They are scheduled to play the Bamboozle Festival and Lollapalooza......

They're getting massive airplay lately - Starlight is being hyped to top40 after going #2 on the modern rock charts, and Supermassive is growing at Modern Rock as we speak.
It is early June; I believe they've timed the Fall tour of 6,000+ seat arenas for after these songs build their audience even more.
