LAURYN HILL | "Lose Myself" Has Leaked

Losemyself.jpg

We warned you she was coming back and now we got the leak for you.

Lauryn Hill's first new jam in way too long of a time is a single from the animated summer flick Surf's Up, where she is actually credited as Ms Lauryn Hill. This song is also thought to be the first track on her upcoming sophomore solo album, Call Me Ms Hill.

So what do you think of it..........

T Corona:

is it me or does this sample the theme from Unsolved Mysteries in the beginning?

Jeff O:

I'm a huge, huge Lauryn Hill fan...but I'm really not feeling this song. It picks up at the end but it seems very scattered. The music doesn't fit the lyrics, like a cross between an animated kids movie and a tragic love story. Perhaps it will grow on me. Nonetheless, news of a new Lauryn Hill album gives me chills. Can't wait.

CJ:

That song is awful. I love Lauryn Hill but who produced that track, the original Ms. Pacman programmers? It's almost unlistenable. What a disappointment.

It seems to me that most everyone fails to listen to Lauryn's message. This song is literally a beautiful love letter to her fans. It is delivered with such sincerity and heart. I would become a fan of any of you commentators who can write and sing me your pain with such clarity, with such poetry, while simultaneously making me the better for it. This is the genius of Lauryn Hill. The sound is a new departure but a welcome one, and it is best described as an updated circa 60's sound. I could not care less about this pretension of how it could be better mixed. She has succeeded to seamlessly speak her truth and I was touched. I applaud her in her courage and am thankful that she sings to benefit me. Thank you Lauryn, Thank you.

I like this song the music actually sounds positive as if Lauryn has found her self again. which agrees with her own lyrics "i had to lose myself to love you better" - this is a great step in the right direction! Love you Lauyrn!
so please columbia release the album!
