
Book Expo America is the largest annual convention for booksellers, publishers, authors and dorks. This year, the convention takes over the Jacob Javits Center from June 1st to June 3rd. The keynote speakers are Allen Greenspan and Stephen Colbert.
While the convention is for industry folks only (unless you really, really want to go), there will be a slew of parties around town where you can network your tooshie off. Here's a couple of the bigger shindigs. I note which ones are invite or rsvp only.

i went to the book expo party that you threw at bar 13. harry and the potters did not play. there were no giveaways as advertised and i did not see any cspan2 bags anywhere. i would never have known it was some kind of book expo party if i hadnt read this post.
i really like your blog. but i definitely wouldnt go to any more parties that you throw.

C-Span bags were everywhere. As were a bunch of book give-aways.
The venue wouldn't let Harry & the Potters go on later so they had to cancel due to a time conflict.

I went there and there were no party bags, but there were alot of douche bags.
Thanks for inviting me to a party with tote bags...but all I got were some lousy douchebags.
