"It's Monday" is how Zach Condon apologized for the low energy on stage and trying to explain the quietness from crowd. The crowd then booed the tween performer when he started to talk about how he doesn't have a real job and chiding the audience for spending their Monday working.
After the extremely slow start, the band's set clicked about a half hour into their eighty minute second show at the Bowery Ballroom. The band definitely reacted well to the energy that started to come from the crowd and rewarded them with multiple encores. Zach and a bunch of his Gulag Orkestra performed the second encore in the crowd.
Oh and two members of Arcade Fire jetted down from the United Palace to once again join Beirut during their final song of the evening. (Above photo by Grace Anne, after the jump by Steele This Art).........
