I'm not about to debate whether jam bands suck or not. Hell, I could really give two shits that Clear Channel/Live Nation booked the Disco Biscuits & Unphrey's McGee show at McCarren Park Pool. Sure it seems to be an odd choice, but whatever, that's not what bothers me.
The thing that truly makes this show so ridiculous is that tickets go on sale on 4/20 at 4:20pm. This folks, is exactly why so many people make fun of jam bands. Seriously, both of these groups are made up of people in their thirties. I don't care that they smoke the marijuana, but what kind of douchebag is making 4-20 jokes in their thirties? What fucking losers........

Not that it really matters, but it's a Bowery Presents show, not Live Nation. Either way, I agree that it's a lame gimmick.

I have to say - your stuck up attitude is a huge negative to your credibility. You go out of your way to criticize quality musicians for something as trivial as their enthusiasm for pot. If you stopped focusing on that and actually listened to the music maybe I'd find your opinion valid. Instead of attacking the quality of the music - you go personal. Sir, you're worse than a Republican.
