Sanjaya Malakar was "voted" off of American Idol last night! I don't believe for a second that Sanjaya actually got the lowest amount of votes. The "Vote for the Worst" campaign has spread like a wildfire across America, with everyone from Howard Stern to Perez Hilton urging people to vote for Sanjaya. What a rip.
And now back to ignoring American Idol.......

I'm not ashamed to say that I love American Idol. In fact I watch every episode. And I'm glad to see Sanjaya go because I'm rooting for Melinda Doolittle.

I've never voted, and am not really sure if I care about the show or not. What I am sure of (I collected on a $70 bet this morning), that Sanjaya got voted off fair ans square. VFTW gave him a very large block, but also one that had fewer opportunities for exponential growth (i.e. new people joining the VFTW ranks). At the same time, the other contestants had opportunities for major jumps every week as they absorbed the votes of the previously fallen. I figure Phil jumped to the front, having gotten Haley's votes. It's a simple model really. Now, I'm going to buy Twin Peaks season 2 and some books...Hurrah!

That was unclear, I mean that his only source of growth week over week was from VFTW and I have to imagine it either topped off or slowed down eventually.

From the beginning your blog seemed pretty dull for me. But now it keeps getting better. THIS post is just AWESOME!
